The 3rd VPL Biennale will take place on May 7 and 8, 2019 in Berlin and we are excited to join the conference and discuss how to develop and implement Validation of Prior Learning.
We are extremely honoured to compete for the VPL Global Prize 2019 in category “product”. This category includes selected tools and instruments that make learning outcomes visible or help assess them. All the winners will be presented with an award at an evening reception on 7 May 2019.
What is VPL Biennale?
The VPL Biennale is a platform for sharing knowledge, experience and creative ideas in the field of recognition of competencies. Experts from all over the world will present best practices and insights on the subject, whereas six crucial areas will be focused: Organisational arrangements, Financing, Procedures and instruments, Support structures, Post-validation pathways and, Legal foundations.
In the course of the Conference, outstanding VPL Specialists, such as Martin Noack from Bertelsmann Stiftung, Heidi Bolton from South African Qualifications Authority, Antra Carlsen from the Nordic Network for Adult Learning and many other bright minds, will touch on other burning issues and give the attendees plenty of ground to contemplate.
What are we going to do there?
Together with these leading VPL experts, practitioners and policy-makers we will work on finding a way for a stronger and more sustainable implementation of Validation of Prior Learning and share our vision of the future development in this area.
The ROC Institute works every day on creating visible solutions for acquisition of competencies and we will be happy to share our experience with others.
